Team registration. Enter all your team information prior to registration opening Oct 2nd. Go to TIMS

First Regional Registration opens via TIMS

Oct 9th

Safety animation announced via email. This is a good warm-up for teams doing animation. Otherwise don’t worry about it.

Oct 16th

Kickoff registration opens. Via TIMS you specify which kickoff location you’ll attend to get your kit of parts. Closes sometime in December.

Oct 20th

NASA grant applications due. Winners announced 11/12.

Oct 23rd

Second Regional registration opens via TIMS

November

Complete team information in TIMS for number of students, team name, team website if any, team motto, robot name, etc. This is used in the program books.

Nov 1

FIRSTFare hosted at Catlin Gabel. Teams from all around the region come to take part in technical and marketing presentations on a wide array of FIRST topics. We expect around 400 people. Other teams bring their robots for static display.

Nov 20-22

The National Science Teachers Association is having their area conference in Portland this year. Local FIRST teams will be doing demos and talking to teachers in the conference area. We’ll drive our robots, tell people about FIRST, etc. It’s at the Oregon Convention Center.

Dec 6th, 7th 13th,14th

FIRST Lego League Tournaments around the state. Many FRC teams help and demo at these.

Dec 9th

Safety animation due at FIRST. 

Dec 19

BunnyBot Scrimmage. Hosted at Catlin Gabel, our team members and those from around Portland. We’re expecting around 8 robots. All are welcome. The fun starts around 3:00pm.

Jan 3rd (Saturday)

Build Season Kickoff. Hosted at Oregon City High School and OSU, this is the start of the 6 week build season. At 7:00am(!) we’ll watch the kickoff telecast live from New Hampshire where the details of this season’s game will be revealed. Teams start brainstorming.

Jan 3 - Feb 17th

Build season!

Feb 14

Local scrimmage. Teams whose robots are in working condition try playing the game with other teams. This always turns up some interesting problems that are better to find now than at the competition.  Details to follow.

Feb 17th

Robot ship day. The robot needs to be at the warehouse in Portland by 5:00pm this day.  The long weekend before this is always intense.

Feb 19th

Award submissions due for various awards like Website, Woodie Flowers. Chairman’s may be on this date as well but you should confirm that.

March 5-7th

Oregon Regional Competition
