The FIRST Oregon Regional, previously known as the Pacific Northwest Regional, started in 2002. The first two years the PNW regional was held in Seattle at the University of Washington (Heck Edmonson Pavilion), next called the Bank of America Arena in Seattle Washington. The third year the PNW regional was moved to the Memorial Coliseum in Portland Oregon.

NASA helped support the PNW regional during the first three years. Thank you NASA!
