The kickoff at Oregon city is a huge event, thanks to the work of team 2550 and Roger Collier, coach of that team.
ALL Attendees need to bring a signed FIRST release and consent form. FIRST requires the event coordinator to collect these and return them to New Hampshire. Download it here.
KICKOFF LOCATION Oregon City High School (Jackson Campus) 1050 Jackson St. Oregon City, Or 97045
The video feed from New Hampshire will start promptly at 7:00am Saturday January 3rd, 2009 but why stop there?
ALL NIGHT PARTY 2550 will host an all night party starting Friday night for all FRC teams. There will be video games, a Star Trek marathon, Pizza that night and a possible dance. There is a party planning committee with members of team 2550, 1510, and 1540. This will be a wonderful event “by the kids for the kids.” We will need a few chaperons to help out with the all night party. We would like to have parents, school faculty and/ or mentors who might not need to be there for kick off but would be willing to work in shifts from 10:00 pm to 6:00am. Please let me know if you or someone else on your team would be willing to help out.
For this all night party we will need to get an RSVP so we can get a head count for student/ mentor count and for pizza. PIZZA SCHMIZZA has graciously offered to donate pizzas for this event, so we will need to know how many pizza’s they should bring us on Friday night.
BREAKFAST We will be having breakfast served from one of our wonderful local business partners. Be ready for a great breakfast and an all new game for 2009. We will need to have teams let us know by December 27th so there will be enough time for food prep.

CART BUILDING CONTEST This event was shared with us from FIRST Washington and sounded like such a wonderful idea, that we wanted to share it down here with everyone. You can check out the official rules ala Firstwa at http://www.firstwa.org/FRC/Teams/CartContest/tabid/154/Default.aspx.
We would like to have some help judging this event at kick off. If you’re interested in helping judge please let me know and we can work out some of the Oregon details. Our rules will be the same but the contacts to send CAD drawings to will be different once we secure a judge for the Oregon event.
SEMINARS Seminar #1 Over view of the rules. Seminar #2 How the new CRio system goes together. Seminar #3 What is in the KOP (Kit of parts?) Seminar #4 Robot quick build session
We will be letting you know of more events and details, as they are coordinated. Contact Roger Collier with any questions: www.OregonCityRobotics.com email roger_in_oregon (at) yahoo (dot) com
